The Home Diaries - Our New Home

Hello Everyone,

I thought what better way to kick off My Home Diaries than to announce we are have finally moved. When we went for our site visit, we were told that they were working towards the second week in September, which was ok, it would have meant we were going on our honeymoon under two weeks later but we had to work with what we had but we actually moved in on the 23rd August.

So when they called us and advised the house was at painting stage and they were working to the second week in August, so considering we had packed nothing- when we found out this gave us four weeks to pack up our whole house. I know how much crap I own so this was very scary for me. But I can confirm we did with a little time to spare. If you are planning on moving soon and you live in the Milton Keynes area, you must use TLC Removals, they packed up our whole house in 2 hours and 15 minutes which for the amount we had was quite impressive.

So what is our new house like and where is it I hear you say- well for obvious reasons, I will not be giving you the exact location, not that I think I am some sort of celebrity or anything, I just think that its not to safe giving you the exact location and spec of my house, which I hope you understand but I will link a almost perfect match to our new home.

Our Old House:

Before we moved we lived in the outer area of Milton Keynes, officially it's a two bed house but the loft has been converted into a bedroom so you could call it a three bedroom house. It's a lovely house but in all honesty we have just outgrown it and if we were to have a family in the future it just would not be a great space for us to live in.

Also my husband had this house when I met him and it has never really felt like home, just a house that I live in. So I am really excited to actually call somewhere my home.

Our New Home:

So why is this house perfect for us?

Well, it has four bedrooms, two double rooms and two single rooms, which will be amazing as I will put a bed in the spare double room but will make this my dressing room in time, having the smaller rooms mean Adam can also have an office space to work for when he works from home and I can also use it once everything calms down to do my blogging.

The parking in our old house is awful, we have one allocated space to the house and lets be honest each house will have  2-3 cars so its always quite stressful if me and Adam are out at the same time.

In the new house we have a garage (aka the loft) but not only this we have two parking space in front of the garage which are side by side as well so you don't have to do the awkward car switch if you go out, what is a little bonus as well is the length from the garage to the path means you can actually fit four cars on the drive, so this will great when we have our friends and family round. believe it or not I think that was the biggest selling point for us, just so that we can park.

It has a sizeable garden, so I am looking forward to throwing a few BBQ'S in the good weather- if we still get it.

Our home has been made by Taylor Wimpey and so far they have been amazing. I have linked their website so you can have a look at their wonderful homes if you are now on the move.

If you have brought a TW Home or have just brought a new home, I would love to hear from you, what did you find stressful? What was the most rewarding part of it all for you?

Until Next Time.......
