Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying your festive December whatever you have been up to so far.
So this year I am doing something a little bit different this year with my Christmas Plans. Usually me and Adam would split time between both families over the festive period but as this is my last Christmas as a Terry, I really wanted to celebrate my years as a Terry.
So for the full three Christmas days I will be spending my time with my parents and doing Christmas through the Terry years and bringing back all the lovely traditions I have had in my childhood and lets be honest, the adult ones too.
Some of the traditions that we will hopefully be doing again will be:
- Christmas Eve Dinner Out
- Christmas Eve PJ'S
- Santa'a Glitter Footprints
- Presents In a Royal Mail Sack
- Stockings To Open in Bed
- Boxing Day Buffet
Now if we being more specific to my childhood the we really should be jetting to Disneyland Paris for Christmas as I have done that twice- this is defiantly not going to happen but if you have been thinking about doing a Christmas there, I cannot recommend it enough, it is so magical and I promise you will not regret it.
I know that some of the above traditions will be quite normal for some of you and may not seem that special but the you don't so them for a few years due to splitting the time, it does get you a little bit excited to start doing it again.
Now if you are wondering where Adam will be for all of this, he will be with me but will be breaking off to go and see his family over the three days, this plan has been in motion since January 2018 and I have always said I am happy for him to go and visit others and use me as the base point but I will be at my parents the whole time. We will wake up Christmas Morning together which to me is the most important part to spend together. Once we are married it will be time for us to start making our own traditions so I just wanted one last time to go old school.
I would love to hear how you guys spend Christmas and how you maybe split your time with your family and your partners family as I find it super hard to find the perfect balance.
Merry Blogmas
